Brewdini (birthday cake flavor)

Carter never cared for beliefs in the supernatural. A very cautious and scientific man. He believed the unexplained was just that, unexplained. "In time and with great research anything can be understood".  His life, unfortunately, came crashing down during the great economic bust of city noir. Countless jobs were lost and many life savings evaporated like water in a hot frying pan. Many middle-class citizens now had to work several jobs just to barely get by. Carter himself was forced to take up a small part-time job as a kid's birthday entertainer. He never really had a specific gimmick as he was prone to switching it up. However that all changed when he had to entertain a terminally ill child. The child loved magic and always believed that the world was full of it. Carter's attempt at magic went as well as you could imagine. However, he felt an obligation to the child. He had to do it for him. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to perfect his skills while the child was still alive, yet that didn't make the child's last days any worse. He enjoyed Carter's company which gave him hope that anyone can make the best of themselves, even in their last days. Carter went on to dedicate the rest of his life as a magician. It was during his time with the boy that Carter realized that hope was needed in this world and "just because magic isn't magic that doesn't make it any less magical".
